BlockBeats News, on May 8, CryptoQuant posted that ETH/BTC MVRV data shows that ETH is currently extremely undervalued compared to BTC for the first time since 2019. Historically, this has often led to Ethereum outperforming Bitcoin. However, supply pressures, weak demand and lackluster activity could hinder the rebound. The MVRV (Market Value to Realized Value) ratio is a measure of the market value of an asset versus its "true value" (usually based on the average cost to holders). ETH/BTC MVRV represents the ratio of Ethereum's market value to its true value relative to Bitcoin. Analysis of the images shows that when ETH/BTC MVRV falls into undervalued territory (as in 2019), Ethereum tends to see a strong performance (price increase) relative to Bitcoin subsequently. At present (2025), the ETH/BTC MVRV has once again fallen into undervalued territory (around 0.4), indicating that Ethereum may be undervalued relative to Bitcoin.
