On February 2nd, Jinshi data reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu went to Washington on Sunday and is expected to meet with US President Trump and senior government officials this week. Since Trump took office last month, Netanyahu is expected to be the first foreign leader to meet with Trump. It is expected that the Israeli leader will engage in formative discussions with the Trump administration on several key regional issues. The second stage of negotiations for the Gaza ceasefire protocol is scheduled to begin on Monday, which will transform the temporary ceasefire into a permanent one and release the remaining hostages. In addition, the US-mediated temporary ceasefire in Lebanon is set to expire on February 18, when both the Israeli military and Hezbollah should withdraw from southern Lebanon. The overall issues of the future of the Middle East are still on the agenda.
