Trump family-related WLFI purchased an additional 450 million yen worth of Ethereum, bringing the total to over 37 billion yen.
The cryptocurrency project "World Liberty Financial" (WLFI), associated with the Trump family, purchased an additional 861 ETH for approximately $3 million (450 million yen) this week. This purchase brings the company's total holdings to 70,143 ETH, representing assets worth about $252 million at the current market price. This was revealed by Arkham's data.
In June, WLFI actively engaged in the DeFi space, executing a $7.5 million USDT loan through the lending platform "Aave." According to blockchain analysis firm Onchain Lens, the company supplied $52 million worth of cryptocurrency assets, including ETH and WBTC, to Aave.
Additionally, WLFI has been acquiring Ethereum at various price points and is likely employing a volatility reduction strategy using dollar-cost averaging.
On the other hand, according to a report by Forbes in June, the Trump family's related company "DT Marks DeFi" has reduced its stake in World Liberty Financial from 60% to about 40%. Nevertheless, the project continues its active investments in cryptocurrency.
