Anthony Pompliano may become the CEO of ProCapBTC, planning to raise $750 million through SPAC to purchase Bitcoin.
Gate News bot message, The Financial Times reported that crypto investor Anthony Pompliano is in discussions with the publicly listed company ProCapBTC to take on the role of CEO.
According to reports, the plan includes a merger with Columbus Circle's SPAC, with a total fundraising amount of $750 million, of which $500 million is equity financing and $250 million is convertible bonds. The raised funds will be used to purchase BTC. Columbus Circle completed a $250 million initial public offering on Nasdaq last month.
Pompliano has not yet made a public response regarding this appointment.
