XRP Could Shock the Market: 401(k) Funds May Pump Trillions Into XRP ETFs

Trump’s Executive Order Changes the Game President Donald Trump recently signed an executive order allowing alternative assets, including cryptocurrencies, to be integrated into 401(k) retirement accounts. This move could open the floodgates for massive institutional inflows into the crypto market – and experts say XRP could be one of the main beneficiaries. ETF Approval Could Come This Year Rupert also suggested that XRP ETFs could be approved as early as September 2025, citing his discussions with exchange-traded product providers. Such approval could trigger an explosive XRP rally in the second half of the year, potentially breaking the traditional four-year crypto cycle and setting the market on a broader, more sustainable path. According to him, XRP’s true strength lies in its ability to serve as a global bridge currency. He dismissed concerns that XRP’s market cap limits its growth potential, pointing instead to history: in the 1980s, IBM was valued at $39 billion, while today Microsoft is worth over $3.9 trillion — a hundredfold increase no one expected.

ETFs Could Trigger a Supply Shock Jake Claver, CEO of Digital Ascension Group, shared a similar view. He stressed that XRP doesn’t need to surge in value first to qualify for an ETF. Instead, listing an ETF itself could create a supply shock, pushing prices higher after launch. Claver added that other factors could also accelerate XRP’s rise — such as regulatory activity, liquidity shortages on exchanges, or even a potential Tether crisis. Still, he believes ETFs would act as a catalyst amplifying that growth.
