In May of this year, India and the UK completed negotiations and reached a free trade agreement. According to the agreement, 99% of goods exported from India to the UK will achieve zero tariffs. For goods exported from the UK to India, 90% of the tariff rates will be reduced, and 85% of the goods will achieve zero tariffs within 10 years. This agreement is the first significant bilateral trade agreement India has signed with a developed economy in more than a decade.
