The acting chair of the CFTC may join MoonPay after the official chair confirmation.
On August 26, crypto journalist Eleanor Terrett reported that "there are rumors that after the confirmation of the permanent chairperson, Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) acting chair Caroline D. Pham will join the crypto assets payment platform MoonPay. MoonPay declined to comment on this. A spokesperson for the CFTC did not deny the rumor and told me: 'As she said in May, acting chair Pham will return to the private sector after the new chair is confirmed. In the meantime, she remains dedicated to faithfully executing the president's agenda and fulfilling his promise to 'win' in the encryption space.'"
