Traders currently expect a 100% chance of the Fed lowering interest rates this month.

On September 5, traders currently believe that the possibility of the Fed cutting interest rates this month is 100%, with a 12% chance that the rate cut will reach 50 basis points. Before the weak employment report was released, the market expected a rate cut, but not to such a large extent. Brian Jacobsen of Annex Wealth stated that the revised data indicates "almost no new jobs," reigniting discussions in the market about a larger rate cut. After the data was released, the yields on U.S. short-term government bonds fell sharply.
