Google's advertising network has begun displaying ads within the conversation flow of chat Bots – one of the measures taken by Google's parent company, Alphabet, to maintain its advantage in the digital advertising space amid the rise of generative artificial intelligence. Earlier this year, Google AdSense, which traditionally displayed ads in search results and on the edges of websites, expanded to include conversations with chat Bots operated by AI startups. According to informed sources, Google made this decision after testing with several startups (including the AI search app iAsk and Liner) last year and earlier this year.
