What is the possibility of Bitcoin reaching 3 million Dollars? Noted analyst Tom Lee predicts.
Tom Lee of Fundstrat Global Advisors has made a bullish price prediction for the cryptocurrency Bitcoin (BTC). In an interview with CNBC, he stated that reaching $250,000 by the end of 2025 is realistic, and in the long term, he expects it to rise to as much as $3 million.
Mr. Lee emphasized the imbalance between the limited supply of Bitcoin and the expanding demand, pointing out that "95% has already been mined, but 95% of the world does not hold Bitcoin." The fundamental target for 2025 is $150,000, but he analyzes that it could reach between $200,000 and $250,000 depending on the market environment.
In comparison to the total above-ground stock of approximately 23 trillion Dollars in gold, the price of Bitcoin is estimated to be around 1.2 million Dollars at a comparable scale. However, considering Bitcoin's dominance, it is predicted that long term targets of 2 million to 3 million Dollars are also within sight.
On the other hand, Arthur Hayes, who was interviewed by the economic magazine Fortune in mid-May, also showed a similar bullish forecast. He reiterated his prediction of reaching approximately 250,000 Dollars by the end of this year and claimed that by the end of President Trump's term in 2028, the level is expected to be around 1,000,000 Dollars.
Mr. Hayes analyzed that the expansion of the U.S. fiscal deficit will be a tailwind for Bitcoin, predicting that significant increases will continue due to ongoing government borrowing. In the short term, he mentioned the possibility of reaching between $150,000 and $200,000 from this summer to the beginning of the third quarter, followed by a potential return of altseason due to a shift of funds into altcoins.
