Polygon co-founder Sandeep Nailwal has assumed the role of CEO at the Polygon Foundation. Under his leadership, the project's focus will shift toward enhancing Polygon PoS and Agglayer, while phasing out zkEVM in 2025. Polygon PoS is set to boost its testnet throughput to 1,000 TPS in early July, aiming for 5,000 TPS by September–October, with a long-term goal of reaching 100,000 TPS. Meanwhile, Agglayer v0.3 is scheduled to launch by the end of June.
