New York City Mayor Adams Hosts Crypto Meetup to continue supporting the development of the industry
On June 24 (UTC+8), New York Mayor Eric Adams held a small gathering today to support the development of cryptocurrencies. Adams is a long-time supporter of cryptocurrency, having received his first three months' salary in Bitcoin in 2022 and consistently opposing New York State's strict BitLicense regulatory regime. He also proposed the BitBonds program to modernize New York City's financial infrastructure. The gathering will take place during the Permissionless Conference, where participants will have the opportunity to meet with the Mayor and network with like-minded industry leaders.
