Solana DePIN income hits a new high, multiple projects continue to rise.
Solana DePIN revenue reaches new heights, with rapid development across various projects
The Solana ecosystem's DePIN track performed impressively in April, with a total monthly revenue of $458,000, a year-on-year increase of 33%, marking the highest level so far this year. This achievement is mainly attributed to the stable growth of several key projects.
Despite record-high revenues, the number of active contributors to the DePIN protocol has slightly declined, with major projects maintaining around 87,000 active contributors in total. Notably, the number of contributors to smaller DePIN protocols has significantly increased, with some projects experiencing growth rates exceeding 100%, while the number of contributors to larger protocols has remained stable or slightly decreased.
Here is a performance review of major DePIN projects:
Dabba Network
Dabba Network is an India-specific DePIN based on Solana, deploying Wi-Fi hotspots in collaboration with local cable operators. From March to April, its cumulative data consumption doubled to 8000 TB, and device sales increased by 29%, demonstrating a strong development momentum.
Helium Mobile
As a mobile virtual network operator under the Helium network, Helium Mobile saw a 125% surge in new subscription users after launching its open free mobile plan, reaching 36,000 users. Revenue for the month grew by 34%, hitting a historic high of $250,000, with data offloading accounting for as much as 79%. The average daily offloading subscription volume and offloaded data volume increased by 65% and 32% respectively, both setting new records.
It is worth noting that the number of active contributors to Helium has slightly decreased since the beginning of this year and has currently stabilized at around 75,000.
XNET
XNET is a decentralized mobile network built on Solana. In April, the data offloading volume of XNET continued to grow, with an average daily offloading increase of 16%, maintaining an upward trend for 8 consecutive months. Despite a slight decline in rewards, the number of active contributors to XNET Mobile still increased by 6%, reaching a historical high of 732 people.
Roam
Roam added 535,000 WiFi nodes and 87,000 new users in April, bringing the total number of nodes close to 4 million and the number of users to nearly 3 million. Although the monthly user check-in volume decreased by 19%, the total number of check-ins has exceeded 300 million, indicating that user engagement remains very strong.
Shaga
The Shaga protocol utilizes idle GPU computing power to support Web3 games, currently covering 74 GPU models. Within two months, Shaga achieved 4,500 interactive game live broadcasts, with a total duration of 50,000 hours, allowing viewers to participate in the streamer's games in real-time.
Hivello
As a DePIN aggregation platform, Hivello is used to monetize idle resources. In April, the online duration doubled compared to last month, with more nodes joining to contribute to the network.
Nosana
Nosana is a decentralized GPU computing network based on Solana, focusing on AI inference workloads. In April, the job completion volume of Nosana saw a slight increase along with contributor rewards, while GPU nodes remained stable. The newly launched Gaianet AI collaboration project is expected to drive job growth.
Sallar.io
Sallar supports high-performance computing by connecting the idle computing power of devices such as smartphones to the network. In April, the dollar rewards increased to $11,800, a 27% month-on-month rise, while the number of active wallets remained stable.
Grass
Grass connects the idle internet bandwidth of user devices to the network, providing data sources for AI training and more. The data collection volume in April reached a new high, reaching 34.5 million GB.
Wingbits
Wingbits is an aviation data collection network based on Solana. Since last November, the number of tracked flights has increased to 150,000, and the daily data points collected have grown to 9 billion, representing increases of 7% and 29% respectively; the number of contributing sites has risen by 43%, reaching 3,000.
Hivemapper
Hivemapper is a decentralized mapping network. The mapping mileage remained stable in April, and the AI-driven platform Beekeeper for fleet management was officially launched. The number of active map contributors has stabilized at around 5,000 since February.
NATIX Network
NATIX Network collects street view and geographic data through smartphones and dedicated devices. In April, user-driven mileage has maintained at 11 million kilometers for the third consecutive month.
Sourceful Energy
Sourceful Energy focuses on decentralized virtual power plants. In April, electricity output increased by 30%, and the newly launched Zap smart energy efficiency analysis device received 500 pre-orders, with growth expected to continue.
AmbiosNetwork
Ambios Network is the largest scale environmental monitoring DePIN in the world. In April, the cumulative user ecological data check-ins exceeded 2 million, with a 12% increase in ecological data check-ins; the total number of platform users increased to 45,000, a year-on-year growth of 2%.
