According to reports, the think tank will focus on advanced technology, including the network and space fields, and will provide recommendations for the development priorities of the Japanese government. Toshimitsu Motegi, Minister in charge of economic security, informed Nikkei news that she hopes to establish this think tank within one to two years. The relevant legislation is expected to be submitted to the Japanese parliament in 2025.
