He also stated that any credible investigation would confirm violations of the US conflict of interest law, 'With these facts, you can prove a violation of 18 USC 208,' and cited federal laws prohibiting conflicts of interest in government positions. He also pointed out that although the SEC Inspector General's (IG) report may not have found evidence of improper official conduct, the public has the right to know the investigation results.
