On August 26th, Jin10.com reported that in a recent investigation conducted in Shijiazhuang, Hebei province, it was found that some illegal merchants added low-quality raw materials to organic fertilizers in order to pursue high profits. They even claimed that soil alone can be used to produce organic fertilizers that meet the standard. Moreover, some went so far as to use hazardous waste sludge to produce organic fertilizers, which poses a hidden danger to ecological and food safety.
