Abstract generation in progress

On March 18th, according to the Financial Times, Microsoft (MSFT.O) is collaborating with a Swiss startup to deploy a new artificial intelligence model that simulates the reasoning ability of mammalian brains to drive developments in areas ranging from financial trading to robotics. The collaboration between the US tech giant and inait, based in Lausanne, leverages 20 years of digital neuroscience research to mirror biological intelligence and enhance artificial intelligence capabilities. Supporters of this technology believe it is transformative because it can learn from real-world experiences rather than relying on finding correlations in pre-existing data. Richard Frey, CEO of inait, founded the company in 2018 with the idea that the only confirmed form of intelligence exists in the brain. He said, "If we can master the brain, we can create a very different, very powerful, and novel form of artificial intelligence." He added, "I am excited that we are now developing products to teach various scales and types of digital brains to address the biggest challenges facing today's major industries." The two companies announced this collaboration on Tuesday, aiming to expand Microsoft's artificial intelligence models to its customers using inait's technology.
